Crescendo was a theatre experience unlike any other I have encountered.
Sure, you can say that about many improvised shows - every show is, in its own way "one of a kind" - but Crescendo went beyond that to me... I was truly surprised and delighted by the show that was produced.
Confessions is an exciting new short film project initiated by Impro ACT.
The premise: a Canberra Location, two improvisers, one shot and a juicy confession. Nothing is pre-planned and there is no script. Everything that happens in the film is completely improvised there on the spot. In creating this new project we are hoping to give Improvisers an opportunity to use their impro skills through film. We hope you enjoy.

'The Displaced' (Street One - The Street Theatre March 10-19th Thurs- Sat 7.30pm) poses the question: "Have you ever been forced to leave?" More than just a rich and random collection of heart-felt, and believable personal stories, the message of 'The Displaced' is clearly one of compassion and hope, for it is a story that belongs to every one. This highly evocative form of improvised theatre is Everyman Theatre at its most contemporary.
'The Dispaced' continues until Saturday March 19th 2011 - Tickets availble online or on 6247 1223

I attended Bubble Soup on Jan 30 with high hopes. I had very much enjoyed learning visiting improviser Caspar Schjelbred's Impro Supreme method earlier that day and was keen to see this show he'd devised to showcase it.
